TeensForFoodBanks was co-founded in May of 2020 by Steven Guo and Rehan Marshall during the peak of the COVID-19 Pandemic. During the pandemic, food banks struggled to meet increasing demand as unemployment skyrocketed. In an effort to prevent these disturbing trends from happening locally, the organization was founded with one goal in mind: to help local families struggling with food insecurity during unprecedented times.  What began as a two man operation has slowly grown over the years to an organization consisting of over 90 members from over 5 different schools across Northern Virginia. Our volunteers regularly host food drives, organize donations at food banks, and collaborate with neighborhoods to help struggling families in the community. Teens For Food Banks has collected and donated over 13,000 pounds of food to local food banks and this number continues to grow with each passing day.
